Le sigh

When did relationships, even professional ones, get to be so complicated? It seems like if you do or say the wrong thing, it comes back to bite you in the ass no matter what. That's why we are always on edge, trying to make sure we never do, or say, the "wrong things." But what is wrong, and what is right?

Luther returned from his travels a few days ago. We had a chance meeting in the staff lounge the other day, where he gave me a vial of essence of mandrake on a necklace. It really is quite a beautiful item... the way the light hits the substance makes it seem as if it is every color at once, and yet has no color at all. It is enchanting, to say the least. But something else has been enchanting me more than this vial, as of late. I shouldn't speak of it, because it would be improper of me to start anything with a fellow staff member. But what is to be done when the one whom you could be meant to be with is just behind your reach? It's times like these when I wish, foolishly, I had never come into this position. But I suppose that is the sacrifice that we make for our successes and triumphs: a bit of our personal life disappears forever.

I shall be glad when second term begins: the increase in activity and events around the castle means less time for me to think about that which I should never have thought in the fist place.

RPRC launched, classes to begin shortly

Well, this month has been a busy one for HI, and it's not over yet! The RPRC was launched last week to much support. We have some work to do on it, but so far it has provided a good basis off which all of the students and faculty can go about their day-to-day business with in the castle.

Classes begin in two days. My lesson plans are complete, but I am nervous as to what the students will think of the material. I guess we'll have to see!

In other news, a certain professor has been on my mind more than...he should be. I'm not quite sure what to make of it yet...

Quidditch Renovations and Class Registration and RPRC, oh my!

So thing are moving along splendidly at the castle. The renovations on the Quidditch Pitch have begun and they should be finished by the end of this week. Class registration opened on the 15th, and it will be closing on September 1st. I have eleven students in my History of Magic class so far! I hope the number doesn't go up too much more, as ten to fifteen students would be ideal for discussions.

In other news, our Roleplaying Resource Center is coming along splendidly. We are almost finished, just a few more articles to write and things to do before it will be released to the HI public. :)

I am awaiting the return of Leonardo. He should be back in a few days :)
